Hi, I'm Vanessa / doodlevan (she/her)! :)

I am a 2D generalist with a well-rounded and versatile skillset. My projects have spanned a variety of tones and styles, ranging from serious and realistic to lighthearted and stylised. I enjoy learning from new artists and styles -- but personally have a soft spot for the fantastical, whimsical, natural... and silly!

I graduated from Vancouver Film School's Classical Animation programme with Honours in 2023. It was an intense year where I worked under studio conditions, doing assignments on paper in the first four months and then making a 2-minute short film over the last six months.

I also graduated from Yale-NUS College in 2022 with Bachelor of Arts with Honours (cum laude), majoring in Arts & Humanities.

For animation and storyboarding, I am proficient in Toon Boom Harmony, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, TV Paint, Clip Studio Paint and Rough Animator (iPad). For painting, I use Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint and Procreate. (Also pencil and paint.)
